While I don't have a Panini Press (hint for Santa next year) I did make some pretty sweet combinations with a frying pan and an old school bacon press. The 'Soppressata, Fontina, and Arugula Panini' was just as good as the picture looked. And the 'Mozzarella, Basil Pesto, and Peperonata Panini'... where has that combination been all my life!? I can't even imagine the taste from a real Panini Press. For those who don't feel sandwiches the way I do, there are also recipes for Bruschetta and While I don't have a Panini Press (hint for Santa next year) I did make some pretty sweet combinations with a frying pan and an old school bacon press. Thanks Kristl for this book!

We got a sandwich press as a wedding present. This cookbook has been heavily used by us and every single recipe is amazing. We love it so much Shawn went to 'ino to see where they get their bread (Blue Ribbon Bakery) and to watch them in action. Good pictures, which is important.

Not much of recipe book (it is sandwiches, after all), but the pics are mouth-watering and the ingredient combinations are incredible and authentic.

I really didn't think I was going to be impressed with this book, but I have to say, I do like it. The photographs are nice, the recipes are easy to follow and many include tips on finding & using the best/freshest ingredients. Basics: Breads, Meats, Cheeses, Oils, & Vinegars Condiments: Basil pesto, Sun-dried tomato pesto, Lemon mayonnaise, Balsamic roasted garlic, Sweet onions, Oven-braised fennel, & several other tasty items Panini: Grills; Prosciutto, bel paese & sweet onion; I really didn't think I was going to be impressed with this book, but I have to say, I do like it. All of which sound good to me Bruschetta: Caponata & goat cheese; Aperitivo (fruit & white vermouth); Asapragus, truffle oil, & Parmigiano-Reggiano; Roasted butternut squash, walnut & asiago. All these sound good, there were a few I thought odd. Tramezzini (something in the middle): Mozzarella & basil pesto; Bresaola, arugula & grana padano; Cacciatorini, sweet onion & tomato; Shrimp salad & red pepper mayonnaise... Anitpasti, Merende, & Insalate: Bresaola w/ arugula & Parmigiano-Reggiano; Fennel & arugula w/ goat cheese & aceto balsamico; Truffled egg toast; Fennel, red onion & goat cheese frittata... very mouth watering offerings.

I got this book for the panini part, but it also includes fancy little sandwhich things, and brushettas. Some fun ideas, the panini I made, although not exactly following the recipe, was delicious. Nice pictures
