This was a good conclusion to the story, maybe a little fast, but that's always my issue with comics. I like the additional backstory it gives us and the moments Picard gets to be very Picard indeed.

Fine as a comic and a Trek story, but a real let down as a build up to Star Trek: Picard. Basically only serves to tell the backstory of two minor characters from the series. Made worse by the fact this finale edition of the 'countdown' came out days after the release of the first episode. A shame because it started out intriguing.

Star Trek: Picard - Countdown #3 continues straight on from the previous book with Picard facing off against the corrupt Governor Shian with the aid of former Tal Shiar members and renegades Laris and Zhaban! :D The story neatly dovetails into later events with wine making making it's way in there as well! :D Other events throughout also start hinting at the Renegade activities of the Tal Shiar and the others within the ranks who are already up to things! :D The are is crisp and clear with the Star Trek: Picard - Countdown #3 continues straight on from the previous book with Picard facing off against the corrupt Governor Shian with the aid of former Tal Shiar members and renegades Laris and Zhaban! :D The story neatly dovetails into later events with wine making making it's way in there as well! :D Other events throughout also start hinting at the Renegade activities of the Tal Shiar and the others within the ranks who are already up to things! :D The are is crisp and clear with the characters all being recognisable along with their expressions! :D The action is neatly portrayed with great pacing and views. Swift, dynamic storytelling; good character voices. One too many reversals for Zhaban (whose fate we know from the series anyway). In Countdown #2, it was noted that the laws of nature don't always apply to Yuyat Beta -- remember that upside down waterfall? -- and I feel like that plot thread was just dropped.

Good self-contained story that gives us a lot of background on the two Romulan caretakers while also giving us an isolated view of the Romulan evacuation. Some flavouring if you will, not necessary to enjoy the show but giving us more depth.

Bit anti climatic as this was due to come out before Picard did but was delayed. Gives a nice bit of back story and explains a few things which I saw in episode one. If they had not messed up the release timing this would have been a 4 star!

It was fine for what it was, but I personally didn't find it that interesting.

The conclusion to Admiral Picard's meeting with his Romulan friends zips along at a speedy pace and fills in a small bit of the gap in continuity.

This was a good precursor to the show on CBS. I enjoyed reading this graphic novel.

A very useful precursor to the Picard TV series. This three-part comic book story is well written and flows nicely. A very useful precursor to the ‘Picard’ TV series. This three-part comic book story is well written and flows nicely.

Story was too short, too many editing errors and Picard looks like hes in his 30s. Other than that, I give the 3 book series a 3.5 stars. Story was too short, too many editing errors and Picard looks like he’s in his 30s. Other than that, I give the 3 book series a 3.5 stars.

A conclusion of sorts - there's more to the story, but that is what Picard is telling in the new show! I loved his little comment in the end of vineyards. A nice little conclusion.
