The beloved show Friends introduced the world to six young New Yorkers living together, falling in love, breaking up (cue Ross's "We were on a break!"), and getting into hilarious shenanigans, which became an instant classic formula that inspired dozens of "hangout sitcoms" long after the show's reign. But no sitcom has ever come close to the series that started it all, spawning iconic looks like "the Rachel" and timeless catchphrases like "How you doin'?" while creating a cultural sensation that catapulted the cast members to instant mega-stardom. Throughout the show's ten- season run, viewers watched Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler, and Joey navigate their twenties and thirties with unwavering friendship, determination, and, of course, plenty of sarcasm. Friends Forever takes fans back to the set where it all began with exclusive photos of the sitcom that won four Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series, eleven People's Choice Awards, and a Golden Globe for Jennifer Aniston for Best Lead Actress in a Television Series. This fully illustrated episode guide will treat readers to nostalgic flashbacks of the top one hundred episodes and sneak peeks of how popularly referenced lines from the show came to be. Friends Forever also boasts new interviews with show creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman on how the show got its start and set designer John Shaffner who reveals his inspirations behind the iconic looks behind Monica’s and Rachel’s apartment and Central Perk. It's no wonder why the Friends cast was chosen by TV Guide readers as the Best Comedy cast of all time, while countless other publications such as Vanity Fair named the show one of the best sitcoms of all time. Fun, hilarious interactives include: Joey’s fake resume vs real one Countdown to the funniest Thanksgiving foods Trivia game Q&A from "The One with the Embryos" (Seriously, what is Chandler Bing’s job?) Follow Ross’s infidelity trail from "The One with the Morning After" Who’s that celebrity? A comprehensive guide to some of the most famous celebrity guest stars from all ten seasons

Much like Friends all good things must come to an end. I received this 25th Anniversary Edition from my husband for Christmas and I have poured over it, savored it, and parceled it out in bits at a time but finally finished it this morning. It is crammed full of insider info, photos, commentary from the actors, alternate endings, things they were going to do but didn't, rationale for why many things played out the way they did and commentary from guest stars, writers and producers. Broken down by episode, I loved it so much, and much like Friends was sad to come to the end. Well worth the $25.oo price tag if you are a fan of the show.

I would give this book 5 stars, but it doesn’t cover every episode. That being said, the ones that it does cover are some of the best, and I loved the commentary provided by the writers and cast.

Oh, *heavy sigh* F•R•I•E•N•D•S ... when Netflix lost their contract and one of my favorite shows could no longer be watched on the daily, this book filled the void. First, the images within from the show and BTS were excellent. Clear. Awesome, especially sneaking peeks behind the scenes. Second, the shows. I wished it had touched on literally every episode, but that book would be 100 pounds and thick as my own glasses. The episodes is did mention were some of the best from each season and a few I’d like to debate about why they were included. Great synopses on those episodes included, that felt like it was covered and you had just watched an episode. Third, the random stories told about pieces of an episode or about a character. Tidbits that you may not have known before. Enough to win the F•R•I•E•N•D•S trivia game (which when I play is almost like the one where Ross made up the game and Monica bet the apartment. “MAURICE! SPACE COWBOY!”) I loved this book so much. I couldn’t recommend it more to any F•R•I•E•N•D•S-stan out there. It filled the void that loss of streaming left... waiting on HBO’s new streaming channel so life can be right again. However, if I’m craving a F•R•I•E•N•D•S fix anytime soon, I’m pulling out the book!

3,5 stars. This book can be a nice gift for every Friends fans - many great pics, some interesting details about show. Basically it is a guide through every season of Friends - from 1 to 10, which is getting a little scrappy with every season. Anyway it was quite a pleasure to have this guide in my Friends journey.

I still love reading about Friends, even 25 years after it first aired. A very informative and enjoyable read.

"It's only a TV show." This is a fun book that goes through many of the episodes on Friends. It was fun to read through and discover more Friends trivia.

While I can't compare this book to any of the others that came out about Friends in 2019, I can say that I really enjoyed this! The bulk of this book is going through several episodes per season, giving a synopsis, and then providing a few insider facts. I enjoyed taking a walk down memory lane with the synopses, although they weren't 100% necessary for someone like me who has seen the series several times. I did enjoy the clarifications that were made on time-sensitive jokes that have always gone over my head, though! The bulk of the insider information can be found at the front and back of the book, which discusses the characters' casting, how the show came about, and much more. I learned a lot of cool things from this book and thoroughly enjoyed reading it, but I would have liked even more inside information and thoughts straight from the cast.

Completely recommended for fans of the series like me. Loved every bit of it, the images, the snippets from interviews and curiousities from different episodes... Read it while watching the series again and it was just great. ^_^ Shame some episodes were missing, like for example the Thanksgiving one with the floating heads (one of my favourites). It'd have been great to know things about that one. Also, I wonder why Gary Susman didn't do proper research before writing that Christina Pickles played Completely recommended for fans of the series like me. It was Gemma Jones! *facepalm Other than that, great book. <3

I have been a big fan, as so many have since the series originally aired. So we all know that so much behind the scenes stuff has been thrown online for all of us to share; yet when you open the book you get a few delightful surprises. This review is based on the book itself combined with my limited knowledge of the series. Let me start by saying I am not in the Friends fandom. However, I have seen some episodes, know some of the interlacing storylines, and do have friends that tell me about this favorite sitcom of theirs (in great depth). On with the review! This book is HUGE. The part of the title stating "The One About the Episodes" is taken to a high level. 4.5 stars. I wish the authors had covered each episode. It was still fun with only the highlighted episodes. I would have give it five stars, however, there was one poorly researched item. On page 209, in the commentary, the book reads “Judy Gellar played by Christina Pickles, who viewers may also recognize as Bridget Jones’s Mother in the hit films...Christina Pickles did not play Bridget Jones’s mother was played by The actress Jennifer Gemma Jones. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0428121/ 4.5 stars. Perfect for a Friend's fan. The beginning gives insight into how the show was born and the cast ensembled. It then goes into detail on popular episodes with tidbits a viewer wouldn't know. My only wish was that there was more insight and less recap on each page. But overall, I love anything Friends!

I love reading the behind the scenes info, just wish there was more if that and less of the recaps. In general the recaps were cool too since I haven’t re-watched the show in a little while.

Eindelijk een goed boek bij de serie! Veel leuker dan het boek met interviews uit 2004. Gelezen en ondertussen de serie voor de zoveelste keer gekeken - ook na 25 jaar zit ik nog hardop te lachen.
