Cute idea. Loved her stories about each type of party. Also really liked how she designed menus with appetizers and drinks that all go together.

I want to go to one of her parties! This book breaks down a year of themed cocktail parties. Each chapter features sweet and savory bite recipes; a few drink recipes; decor ideas and 'snacktivity' ideas. The snacktivity stations are really 'bars', like taco bars, hash brown bars, etc. where guests make their own snacks. The photos and illustrations are very fun, and the author's enthusiasm is great. Each chapter also includes a 'big story' that's usually pretty funny about a client, a last minute I want to go to one of her parties! This book breaks down a year of themed cocktail parties. I didn't give this 5 stars because most of the recipes were pretty involved. I would have liked to see some food ideas that were a little easier to prepare or that could be prepared easily in advance. She mentions how you can buy food to use, but I would have liked to see something between takeout and a recipe that I had to make right before the party. Great book for part inspiration!
