I did read and enjoy the first book in the series, Turn Up the Heat, and enjoyed seeing some familiar characters but they played a very small role in this book. This book is really all about Adrian and Teagan. I found both of the characters to be very likeable. Teagan is tough and very dedicated to her job as a paramedic. She also spends a lot of her time working at her dad's pub where she is never afraid to jump into any situations where things are getting out of hand. She is determined to take care of her father even if it means she has to spend time in the kitchen. Adrian is a chef. He belongs in the kitchen and spends almost all of his waking hours at the restaurant at the resort. Unfortunately, he suffers an injury on his way home from work which pushes him out of the kitchen. Adrian is nearing the end of his parole and wants nothing more than to stay out of trouble and be able to move on with his life. He feels lost and doesn't know what to do with himself without being able to go to work. Fate steps in and Adrian finds himself helping the paramedic who treated him learn how to cook in her father's kitchen. The chemistry between this pair was amazing. It really felt like they belonged together and I liked that it didn't take them the whole book to figure that out. I really liked how food and cooking took such an important role in this book. The parts of the book where they cooked together were really some of my favorite and the recipes at the end of the book were a fun surprise. Who knew that cooking could be so sexy? I really enjoyed how this story was told and I thought that the writing was very well done. The story did a really nice job of staying focused and giving us information at just the right moment. There were a few things that seemed a bit predictable and a little far fetched but I expect that in any work of fiction. I would highly recommend this book to any fans of contemporary romance. This is the second book by Kimberly Kincaid that I have had a chance to read and I definitely plan to read more in the near future. I really need to go back and read the other books in this wonderful series as soon as I get a chance. I received an advance reader edition of this book from Kensington Books via Net Galley for the purpose of providing an honest review.

Teagan is a force to be reckoned with and Adrian is just the man for the job. This 4th installment of the Pine Mountain Series was spectacular. Loved Teagan's wit and take no shit attitude. And Adrian is nothing but sexy personified and just a little bit broken. Put the two of them together and it's hot enough to start a fire. Action, humor, off the charts sexual tension, and good cooking make this a must read.

Kimberly Kincaid never fails to delight, and in the latest book in her Pine Mountain series, she presents us with another love story that’s as sweet and as hot as La Dolce Vida’s cuisine. We’ve met Adrien, the book’s hero, in previous Pine Mountain stories. Carly’s sous-chef was the tough guy who clocked Jackson in Gimme Some Sugar when he thought he’d intentionally hurt Carly during an argument in the restaurant parking lot. He also provided a bit of sage advice to Gavin when the later struggled with his attraction for Sloane. In Fire Me Up, he takes centre stage when a broken arm gained in a motorcycle accident earns him several weeks of unwanted leave from his chef’s job. Without the job he loves, he is completely at loose ends when he stumbles into the Double Shot looking for a bite to eat and comes face to face with Tegan OMalley, the pretty, red headed paramedic who treated him after his accident. During her off hours, Tegan helps her father run the bar, but at the moment she’s short of staff and desperate for cash to pay off a loan shark who holds the marker on an unwise loan her father took out to help pay for his medical needs. Even though his damaged arm makes it impossible for Adrian to actually cook, he definitely knows his way around a kitchen, and helping Tegan with her staffing problem seems like the perfect way to show his gratitude for her medical aid. Of course, nothing in book land is quite that simple and before we reach the surprises in the last few pages, Fire Me Up has seen a lot of romance, some very spicy love scenes, a little mystery, some cops and robbers and some even some dynamite recipes you can cook at home Fire Me Up is a perfect read for a cold winter weekend, or a deck chair in the hot sun on that much needed tropical vacation.

I love Pine Mountain. I have been looking forward to Adrian's book since he first showed up several books ago. Teagan was the perfect match for him. I loved their story, along with all of the twists and turns along the way to their happily ever after. I also love all of the glimpses of the couples from the other books. It really does show what a fantastic small town Pine Mountain is. I look forward to many more books in this series.

I loved this book! Teagen and Adrian have such chemistry together. T is a tough caring daughter, EMT and fixer of her Dad and Adrian. She's trying so hard to run her Dad's bar and get it back in the black but she doesn't cook. Adrian is a chef with no kitchen since he got kicked out of his own due to an injury. He offers his help but he's hiding secrets. When things go south at the bar will those secrets destroy the bond between them or just Adrian? You have to read to find out.

Received an ARC copy from Netgalley for a honest review. First book for me by this author and I really enjoyed. Storyline was well written, entertaining, with humor and steamy romance. Loved the characters and their interaction. You can feel the sexual tension between Adrian and Teagan as he teaches her how to cook. This is one of those books that has you smiling thru-out the majority of it. Would recommend.

With this fourth full book in the Pine Mountain series, Kimberly Kincaid finally give us the delicious Adrian’s story and it’s fantastic and so worth the wait. The author knows I have a fondness for her tattooed heroes and the man mountain that is sous-chef Adrian is not only hot and drool worthy, but a bit of a surprise package. What I love most about these books is that they suck you in and make you feel part of the book. The author has a way of making you lose yourself in the story and characters that few authors can truly pull off. I’m addicted to Kimberly Kincaid’s writing, I admit it. You will quickly guess that I have more than a bit of a crush on Adrian. I can’t help it. I have been falling for him over the last couple of books and this book sealed the deal. Damn you Kincaid for giving me another A named hero with tats. Love you for it though J Seriously, how can you not fall for him with lines like this…. “And I want to take care of you. Let me take care of you, Teagan.” Okay before I get lost in an Adrian haze, I will move on. I adored Teagan. I loved how she was tough, no nonsense and determined, but under all that there is a tender side that seems to flourish with Adrian. It’s got to be tough being a paramedic in a male dominated field but she does it with style and grace under fire. Except when she has to clean the squad fridge which even squicked me out. A girl has to draw the line somewhere. Plus Teagan’s interactions with her dad brought a lump to my throat as she reminded me of times with my own father. When an accident brings Adrian’s life to a screeching halt, let’s say he doesn’t take it so well. His home is in the kitchen and to not be able to be there is hell. How could his best friend kick him out of the kitchen? But when a food run leads him to a bar, the last place he needs to be, he finds more than food. Maybe much more. Paramedic Teagan can face any trauma without flinching, but standing in the kitchen of her father’s bar makes her break out in a sweat. But she has to suck it up because she’s in charge temporarily and things at the bar have gone to hell in a hand basket. But help has shown up in the form of the hot chef that she attended to at his accident. Maybe fate has found a way to help them both. When an offer to help Teagan with the kitchen lands Adrian in a kitchen again, albeit in a totally different capacity than he’s used to, more than the food starts to sizzle. The chemistry between him and Teagan is strong and while they try to fight it, their bond just grows stronger till they give in and heat up more than the kitchen. But when a threat to the bar and Teagan emerges, all Adrian’s protective instincts roar to life and despite the fact that he shouldn’t/can’t be there, he can’t walk away from Teagan either. “I’m yours right back, Red. I want you so much.” Teagan’s lips curled into a smile, and nothing in her life had ever felt so vital or so flawless. “Then take me,” she said. As they work together to raise money to save the bar and Teagan’s father in the process, they start to fall for each other. Hard. But can the threat hanging over both their heads and past hurts stop them from being together when they clearly are meant to be or will taking a chance lead them to a life filled with no regrets and happiness? We also get glimpses of the past characters in Carly, Shane and Jackson on top of a surprise from one of them. I may have squealed with joy when I read it. I loved how these characters grew and changed through this book. I knew Adrian had an interesting backstory and boy was I right. But it just made me love him more. Teagan is one hundred percent perfect for him and him for her. They bring out the best in each other and I loved reading it. Superman and Red for the win. I need to do a re-read soon as I’m craving a bit of fresh Pine Mountain air. I’m a huge fan of this author and she knows it. But if you love small town romances then this is the series for you. Prior to reading the Pine Mountain series (where I read all 4 books in the space of about 2 weeks), my only other experience with Ms Kincaid’s writing was in an anthology with a prequel story to pine mountain – and while I remember enjoying it – I remember one of the other stories more vividly (I mean, who can forgot anatomically correct cookies…). But that being said, I had the pleasure of meeting Ms Kincaid at an author/reader luncheon that was held in DC a few months ago and after that I experience, I knew I was going to be in for a ride with her books. But i’m not going to rave about the previous books in the series (all of which were solid 3.5 to 4 star reads for me), but about the most recent one that is officially due out in the next week or so (and I tell you, having read it a month ago, I’ve been on pins and needles waiting until I could recommend it to people). But back to Fire Me Up – if you have read the previous 3 books in the series, you will be familiar with Adrian – he has made an appearance in all of the books so far – from the Turn Up The Heat (book 1), where he mentored/coached Bellamy into a career that she loved cooking; and the 2nd book (Gimme Some Sugar) where he is the stoic Sous Chef for the former Celebrity Chef, Carly. But in Fire Me Up, he finally gets his turn and it didn’t disappoint. I love it when an author takes a character out of their element (in Adrian’s case, the kitchen) and tries to make them cope and how sometimes that works, but for the most part it doesn’t. I kind of had an idea about what Adrian’s rought few years entailed, but seeing how it all played out, it felt believable and not to manufactured (as sometimes dark pasts can be). I’ll admit that I was a bit conflicted about Teagan at first – mostly because I didn’t quite buy the, oh my family is having issues, I need a leave of absence from work part of the story (or that is roughly how it played out). Maybe it can be done, but I don’t know – it just kind of hit me wrong. But as a character, I liked her, she did have a few dumb moments where I wanted to slap her – but not to the extent that I have wanted to do to other characters in different books. I really liked how she was able to calm/deal with Adrian without infantalizing him, which seems to be a common issue in romance novels when the hero has an issue. I was glad to revisit Pine Mountain, but i’m going to be sad to see the series end in the next year (because I think there is only like 1 full-length novel and maybe a novella remaining). I would recommend Fire Me Up for people who like sweet/sassy contemporary romance with mostly normal people; and those who like romance novels with a small-town feel (although, personally, I’m coining the Pine Mountain series, Resort Romance). I gave Fire Me Up 4 stars and look forward to reading even more by Ms. Kincaid in the future.

Adrian was just as hot as I expected. Superman and Red are perfection. When his boss returns early from her honeymoon, Adrian Holt is ordered to go home and take some time to relax. She tells him there’s more to life than being her sous chef at the restaurant. He disagrees but agrees to go home and get some rest before the dinner rush. The last thing he expects is to have mini-van clip his motorcycle and send him flying against the asphalt. When a gorgeous red-haired paramedic insists on taking Adrian was just as hot as I expected. When a gorgeous red-haired paramedic insists on taking care of his injuries, he has no clue where it’s going to lead but he’s willing to follow those luscious lips anywhere. Teagan O’Malley has seen her share of bad accidents and when a motorcycle is involved she always fears the worst, but her new patient seems to think he’s more Superman than human and perhaps he is. Well, he quickly becomes her hero in the kitchen. Kimberly Kincaid never ceases to amaze me at how true to life her characters become to us, and Adrian has always been a little bigger than life for us in this series. In FIRE ME UP, she shows us just how caring, and real, this big man is and Teagan is just the woman to bring it out in him. We learn a lot about Adrian in his story. We discover his past has been holding him back from living life, keeping him where it’s safe – in the kitchen. After his accident, he’s happy to help out Teagan in her bar especially after Carly won’t let him back in the kitchen at La Dolce Vita because as she points out to him, he needs to heal both physically and emotionally. Carly has her own news, which shakes up the kitchen but she isn’t going to allow Adrian to run roughshod over her, no matter how big he is or invincible he thinks he is. Teagan and Adrian make a perfect match, Superman and Red – love that! She doesn’t take any lip off Adrian, and he can’t give her enough lip action. He doesn’t call her Red just because she’s a redhead. And as usual, don’t read FIRE ME UP while hungry. I swear my stomach actually growled at one point. I’m a not a pulled pork fan but those sliders sound delicious and don’t even get me started about dreaming about those gnocchi. And then, we get treated to a tease of Nick Brennan – delicious! I'm already smitten with that guy. I absolutely recommend FIRE ME UP, book four in the Pine Mountain series by Kimberly Kincaid because Kimberly never disappoints. Even when you think it might be a bit predictable, turn the corner and get surprised. Adrian is just the man I always wanted him to be and I couldn't be happier than to step aside and allow Teagan to enjoy his love. If you’ve read this series from the get-go, don’t miss this one and if you haven’t tried out the Pine Mountain series, you could start with this one but honestly, I’d start the beginning and work your way to discovering the big man, Adrian Holt. He can help this redhead out in her kitchen any time. ***eARC provided by publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest and unscripted review.

Alright so the quick of it is that both Adrian and Teagan's lives are in a bit of upheaval. She's having to take time off her job as an EMT to help keep her dad's bar afloat and Adrian's been kicked out of his job at the resort restaurant while he heals from his accident--much to his dismay. And one thing leads to another and Adrian ends up lending his chefly skills to the bar since no one there knows how to cook and they desperately need the guidance. These two were great. They had lovely chemistry, matched each other nicely in the work-a-holic category and had some issues they needed to work through on the personal front. These two are crazy dedicated and always on the go. I had a good time watching them work together in and out of the kitchen, Watching them slowly grow and deal with their pasts--his is a little, erm, rough-- and emotional blocks. They were insanely hot together. Whew. Yeah they steamed up the pages in a number of ways and it was all...verra verra nice. There was a lot of humor as well which is always fun. Okay I had one little niggle. It wasn't a huge thing and is kinda silly but dude...Adrian...almost in the #SuperCock club. You know. Those guys that get all shot up, banged up and still they're mighty willing and ready to go...all...the...way! He's got a broken arm/cast thing happening and was still all about some sex that was, erm, vigorous. Like the broken arm was just forgotten during those scenes. I would have thought some working around it would need to be done. But who knows. The #SuperCock knows no limits ;) There was a nice little bit of added drama and suspense that I so wasn't expecting but worked really nicely when a sticky situation pops up at the bar and lands everyone in a spot of danger. It was a nice added bit of ooompf! to the storyline. Overall, Fire Me Up was a tasty treat all the way around...the food, the romance, the suspense and, oh yeah, definitely the heat. Kincaid knows how to delight all the senses and never disappoints.

His story is my favorite yet! Adrian has been a part of the series from the beginning. Always stealing the limelight, but never demanding it. With his quiet presence, he demanded order and obedience in his kitchen, but due to one wrong move, he’s a man floundering with no purpose. Something is not right at Teagan’s family bar. The vibe is off and people are not showing up for work. Not to mention her father is looking not his best. Worried about the state of things, she takes a leave of absence and is determined to get things back in order. Too bad she stinks in the kitchen and things are far worse than she ever expected. With Adrian without a kitchen and Teagan without a cook, they take on a taxing relationship. Teagan who would burn water is going to cook in the kitchen while Adrian supervises. Soon things take a sharp turn for the worse and Adrian needs to guard his heart and his position in life. He is also a man who won’t let people down. With a plan and a way, they are going to get the bar back on track. Who knows what will happen along the way to these two lonely people who always thought they were fine going on in life on their own. I loved Adrian and Teagan. They had amazing chemistry and Ms. Kincaid made magic on the pages with these two. Both are very stubborn and they fight their attraction the whole way, but when they connect, it’s spectacular! Ms. Kincaid has written such a great story and it sounds like she is going to keep on giving with the next story being about the mysterious Nick Brennan.

Fire Me Up is the fourth book in the Pine Mountain Series and what a treat it was!! Kincaid not only writes about beautiful scenery in Pine Mountain, but she also brings some amazing characters that you won’t be able to get enough of. With time off to heal he finds himself back in the kitchen helping out Teagan and finds he is cooking up more than food. I loved the intense sexual attraction between these two. Their chemistry was not only off the charts, but when they give into each other they truly cook up a romance that is just to die for. Kincaid not only brings hot men to the series but women who are strong. You will not be disappointed with the laugh out loud moments, plenty of heat and happily ever after’s that keep you coming back fto Pine Mountain for more. I loved how she wrote these two characters and how they would challenge each other. Fire Me Up will keep you engaged from beginning to the very end with some twists thrown in that will keep you from putting the book down. Even though this is the fourth book it can be read as a standalone, but I suggest you start from the beginning and fall in love with the characters of Pine Mountain.

I am so happy I got the opportunity to once again spend some time in the small town of Pine Mountain, Pennsylvania. The people are candid, the scenery is beautiful, and bad-boy sous chef Adrian Holt is hot and helpful. However, his past continuously dangles in his present, at least for the next 46 days. A motorcycle accident prevents him from physically cooking, yet he finds a way to be a part of Teagan's kitchen, and she can certainly use the assistance. Teagan O’Malley is a paramedic and loves her job. She also loves her father who owns the local bar and grill. He is experiencing some health problems which cannot be ignored, so Teagan steps in to run the restaurant. She is used to the bar and eatery scene because she has helped out for years. However, becoming the new chef is not what she had in mind. Aiden and Teagan have great chemistry and Ms. Kincaid evolves their romantic relationship with caring, some laugh-out-loud moments and plenty of heat, both in and out of the kitchen. They constantly challenge each other, which I found to be fun and endearing. As much as I enjoyed this story, I found the pace to be a bit slow for my tastes. Aiden and Teagan are wonderful together, but it took a long time for them to do something about the feelings that were developing between them. However, with that said, their sexual tension was off the charts! This is a well-written book with some twists and turns that kept me engaged from beginning to end. Although this is the fourth book from Ms. Kincaid's Pine Mountain series, it can be read as a standalone. However, the first three books are really good, so you may want to check them out. It will keep you on the edge of your seat, make you swoon, have you hold your breath until the very last chapter, and leave you with a smile on your face. The heat level is rather high, and if I have to be honest, some of the sex scenes were a little too long. Even though I understand that, given the heat building between them, these scenes fit in the story, I would’ve enjoyed the story even without them, especially since they were rather descriptive and I’m not particularly a fan of long, graphic scenes. Apart from this little personal preference of mine, which I’m sure readers who like sexy romance will find perfect, the rest of the story flowed without a single hitch. I enjoyed this book very much and, being the first book by this author, I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely read more, and I will add all the previous books to my TBR list. However, you do not need to read the previous books in order to enjoy this one. read my full review here: http://robertasdreamworld.blogspot.it... ***I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review***

I adore Adrain and his patience with teaching Teagan how to cook and the other staff how to run a restaurant and bar. I would love for him to teach me how to cook - the recipes included at the back of the book look incredible. I love Teagan's devotion to her father and keeping his dream alive. There were several times when I wanted to shake her and ask what she was thinking but I do admire her love for her dad and his bar. While this is book 4 in the Pine Mountain series, but it can very easily be read as a stand alone.

Great book, I have enjoyed every book in this series. When Adrian gets tapped on his motorcycle and spins out, his injuries force him to be out of work for 6 weeks. Adrian's parole officer is a jerk and the whole mess at the pub could get hin in big trouble but he can't stay away. I really loved the interplay between these two tough self sufficent people who had such a hard time letting someone help them. The chemistry is hot, hot, hot and I loved watching them both struggle against the inevitable. Hello, hot chef who is also a biker and feisty paramedic who is hopeless in the kitchen, a perfect pairing for romance. I can't wait to see the next book in the series which involves Jesse, the sous-chef in this book.
