Good thing for all because when she realizes it...well...sometimes 2 military men are better than 1! Yep...that hot! So of course there is more to the story, but the fall into love was predictable, good thing the rest of the tale wasn't!

DNF @ 35%. I am not a fan of books where the synopsis offers one thing, but the actual book offers something else. So my review is a little ranty, as I feel a little mislead right now. As a reader I want to be given the choice as to whether I want to read certain things, and at no point in the synopsis was it even intimated that this book contains (view spoiler)[ Threesome(s) (hide spoiler)] a disclosure would have been nice, as I would have 100% not requested this book to review as an ARC. I hate DNF'ing a book, and I dislike even more doing it because I was not given the forewarning as to the books contents. I am not talking about giving the whole story away, and yes I know we are all more liberated in what we read nowadays, but there are certain tropes, that I choose to avoid, not because I am a prude, but because I have tried reading them before and they just leave me cold. As such, after reading the synopsis. I was expecting an easy-going romantic series focused on 3 ex-Rangers, Parker Wilson, Dean Colter and Jack Hunter. I was looking froward to reading each of their stories and experiencing snarky banter, funny situations and hot one-on-one sexy times. Initially that's what I got, but as the story started to develop, the feeling of disappointment grew, until I finally stopped reading. I am not disrespecting the authors, the writing style was superb, the Hot Yoga class had me giggling, the banter between the guys, and Lynn and her friend Suz were spot on. I would absolutely read another book by either author, and if this type of story is of interest to you then I would recommend All Fired Up, I just don't want to read about (view spoiler)[ Threesome(s) (hide spoiler)] especially as I think the story as far as I had read was strong enough without that as an addition. My 3 star rating is based on the above paragraph, and the portion of the book I read. ARC provided by Netgalley, in exchange for the above honest review.

3.5~4 Stars So I'm going to to be brief on my thoughts, most of the negative reviews have been about something that is a one time event in this book. I agree it was a little out there, but then again that is what I love about reading, this not my reality but something completely different. My biggest problem was that it was a little predictable, so I felt like I was just waiting for the "secret" to come out and that make a book a lot less interesting for me. This was a cute, hot, beach-type read--nothing angsty or very suspenseful. Just a sexy contemporary romance between a couple of twenty-somethings. The hero (Parker Wilson) is a hunky ex-Army Ranger who co-owns (along with Ranger buddies Dean Colter and Jack Hunter) an unusual business called DreamMakers. DreamMakers sets up the perfect dream dates for clueless guys who are trying to impress their wives or girlfriends. When one of these clueless guys (newspaper advertising director Phil Shotelle) hires Dream Makers to set up a date for the women he's about to propose to (but knows not much about--not even her favorite color) Parker and company decide they need to do a little recon on Phil's intended (layout editor Lynn Davidson) in order to discover her likes and dislikes so they can plan the perfect date. When Parker first lays eyes on Lynn at a bar he's smitten; and when he joins her "hot yoga" class his lust is in overdrive. But Lynn's the girlfriend of a potential client, and there's no way he'd risk his company's reputation by getting involved with her. But what if Lynn discovers what a douchebag her boyfriend really is? And breaks things off....is she now fair game? Parker... I enjoyed this hot little read. Parker is dreamy, sexy, and all alpha-like with Lynn, and the two of them make a wickedly hot couple. Although I must admit, the fact that Lynn was not really an adventurous girl but then proceeded to (view spoiler)[ have a threesome with Parker and Dean after barely knowing them sort of surprised me. Okay, it surprised me a lot. (hide spoiler)] . So after that unusual start with their love life, things go back to a more normal one, but it proved just how adventurous Lynn became in Parker's company. Lots of sexy times for these two, a predictable lie of omission that gets Parker into trouble with Lynn, and a hint of suspense from the smarmy ex- boyfriend who refuses to take no for an answer, and that about sums up the rest of the plot. There's also the cast of supporting characters who have their moments in the sun; the "I'll-kick-your-ass-if-you-hurt-her" best friend Suz, the man-whore Ranger buddy Dean, and the sexy "I-may-have-a-secret-thing-for-your-younger-sister" Jack, who get their own future stories (at least Dean and Jack do). If there had been just a little more background details on Parker and Lynn (because I felt I didn't know that much about Lynn especially--and would like to know what she ever saw in Phil) this would've earned another star. But since this was the first book in the series and there was some setting up that had to take place, I can understand the absence of a lot of those details. There was just enough to whet my appetite for the upcoming books (Jack's story--Love is a Battlefield and Dean's book--Don't Walk Away. A nice solid collaboration between Ms. Arend and Ms. Kennedy--4 stars

While the guys have a strict hands-off policy regarding clients, there are no rules the moment the contract ends. Good thing, too, because Parker and Lynn steam up the sheets nicely. Poor Lynn has to put up with her douchey boyfriend (who quickly becomes an ex), a friend who doesn't know the meaning of the word restraint -- err, unless it's in a bondage-y sense. I'm guessing she's familiar with those! -- and a relationship with Parker that's sending her spinning. The fact he gives phenomenal orgasms might have something to do with that last part. The characters are fun, the banter between the guys is HILARIOUS, the sex is steamy, and the bad guy is pretty skeevy. That's what I call a recipe for a good book! -Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal

No. No, no, no, no, and no! I absolutely loved the beginning, the writing flowed well and the characters interested me. But then the female protagonist, Lynn did something that just wasn't her. She has a three-some with some dude (who likes likes her) and his friend. WHAT. THE. FUCK!? I couldn't even continue on after that point. I hated it.

I really only have one comment that should sum up this book in it's entirety ... total cheese-fest from start to finish! It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either .... it was just, there... This series of three are inter-connected so I'm gonna end up reading them all at some point, just not today ... or tomorrow ...

I liked the main characters in this book. Three fun-loving ex-Army Rangers? Hellz yeah...I’m all about it! Besties Lynn and Suz were lots of fun too! Great banter. But the story? It was so ‘out there’. First, DreamMakers. I can’t imagine men spending money for someone else to plan a date. It’s not that hard. Maybe a few, but enough to sustain a business with 4 full-time employees? Doubt it. Way easier. Third, nothing Phil did made sense to me. His behavior was contradictory from one moment to the next. He gives an explanation at the end, but it doesn’t hold water. I would really like to see Parker and Lynn fall in love in a completely different story. They were really cute together!

What a hot and steamy book this start out as being. Full of sexy men who definitely know their way around the bedroom (among other places). I was totally enjoying this book until I hit the 73% mark then….. The ridiculous drama took all the steam and sexiness out of the story and left me skimming and grumbling at the same time. I am still curious about the teaser at the end about Pepper and Jack and will give this series another chance with their story.

A little crazy This book wasn't what I expected it to be. I was totally surprised (in a good way) when Parker and Lynn first meet. It was way spicier than I anticipated but I love being surprised. Their story was sweet and easy. It felt like the authors were going for angst but it didn't really pan out. To me it was a pretty typical story in a lot of ways though there were some fun parts. In addition to the two MC's POVs, we got little snippets from several other characters. What’s a group of ex-Army Rangers to do when they get out of the service? Well, they start a service to help clueless men plan the date of their lives for the women they love or want to impress. Surprised? I was and I loved every minute of this book mainly because of the way these men approach masterminding these dates; it’s like they are preparing for battle but with romance and it’s absolutely entertaining to watch. Parker Wilson has a problem, the woman his latest client wants to impress sends his pulse and other parts of him into overdrive. Worst thing is the client is a scumbag who doesn’t know the least little thing about his girlfriend after several months of dating. Determined to get through the recon, he finds himself even more intrigued when he chats with her and her friend. Finding out she’s dumped the guy only makes things more complicated because while he knows he should stay away, he simply can’t even though he knows going after the ex-girlfriend of a client could be really bad for business. When Lynn Davidson realizes her boyfriend is seeing someone on the side she dumps him and when she runs into Parker, a man she met in yoga class a few days ago and his good looking friend, Dean, she decides to take a chance and blow off some steam. While she gets a night she’ll always remember Parker insists they spend some time getting to know one another. Surprised that he’s still interested after their night of debauchery, Lynn decides to take a leap and see Parker again. If you’ve read these authors before you know two things about them, one they can write some amazingly hot sex scenes and two they don’t shy away from multiple partners. So yes, there is a ménage scene in this book and it was pretty amazing. The guys are no strangers to this type of action but Lynn is, however she gets with the program quickly once they spell it out that they are there for her pleasure. Holy hell does she get the experience of a lifetime. What I absolutely LOVE about this story though is when Parker asks Lynn is they can go on a date and she’s feeling shy about what happened between the three of them, he puts her at ease and assures her that he’s serious and wants to see her just the two of them. Parker is a pretty amazing guy and yes, he does make an error in judgment but I give Lynn a lot of credit for taking the high road and voicing her concerns rationally. I like that despite how their relationship began, they really do have a sweet little romance going on and Parker is willing to do everything to prove to her how important she is to him. I feel I would be remiss not to mention the secondary characters in this book that play a huge part into making an already amazing story even better. In addition to Parker’s partners Dean and Jack, Lynn’s best friend Suz is a total trip and I love her crazy attitude. The men’s office manager Didi is like a second Mom to the “boys” and keeps them in line which is pretty funny. And Parker’s sister, Pepper makes a cameo appearance that has me very curious about what’s going to happen in the next book. Oh, and we can’t forget Lynn’s scumbag ex because he adds a whole bunch of drama that no one has time for. The first book in a series sometimes can be overwhelming because of all the characters being introduced and trying to tell the first story, develop the characters and their motivations but I didn’t feel that in this book. All Fired Up was well written, the characters completely entertaining, the dialog amusing and smart, and the intimate scenes sexy and satisfying. I’m stoked about this series and I can’t wait to see what these two come up with next!

I loved the unique premise of three ex-Army Rangers starting a company to help out clueless men by setting up dream dates. How cool is that! Their work involves 'surveillance and recon missions' and they end up in all kinds of hilarious situations. Lynn and Porter are both compelling and lovable characters. Their relationship gradually develops and intensifies, it's realistic and believable, not the typical insta-love. The secondary characters are also very entertaining and interesting. I have to admit I was hesitant to pick it up when I heard there would be more than two in the bedroom - at the same time. Not my usual fare... But - I love Elle Kennedy's Killer Instincts series, so I thought I'd give this a try. And I'm glad I did! The action between the sheets is raunchier than what I'm used to reading but is well-written and didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. Very hot! ALL FIRED UP is a well-paced read with a unique storyline, lots of action, great humor, sweet romance and red-hot passion. I'm looking forward to reading the next installment in this great collaboration! This is the first book I read by Vivian Arend and I will definitely check out her other titles as well.

*Received as an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review* I was very excited to get this as an ARC because of the promise of 3 ex-military men running a dating event company. But, the more I got into it, the less I could relate to the characters and some situations left me uncomfortable. I don't think the story would've suffered if the liberal sexuality depicted was toned down some. With that said, the interaction between just Parker and Lynn was fun, witty and hot. Supporting cast of characters were also well-developed and sparked my interest with the exception of the main antagonist. I felt that Phil Shotelle was too heavily written as a total a**hole that he comes off as a caricature. I never fully understood his fixation on Lynn when he seemed to get plenty on the side. Quick, fun read.

The plot of this book is a bit ridiculous. Ex military men running a dream date business seems a little weird, but they authors make them seem good at their job and funny too. A lot of what I enjoyed about the book was how the boys interacted with each other. Received an ARC for review This is a very cute, pool read. It's great to read a book that a guy knows how to do romance, actually three guys. There was a nasty ex, but no drawn out emotional angst, no police chases, nobody getting blown up. There's just a girl and her BFF and a guy and his two BFF's. There is one threesome, but don't let that stop you from reading this. I liked the "extra chapters" where we get to hear from Jack, Dean, Suz, and Pepper. I look forward to reading the next books.

"They were three former soldiers who like cold beers and warm female bodies." DNF 38% Color me red in the face. I've read borderline lit-erotica, but this fully takes the plunge and I wasn't expecting it. This book is naughty. It's sex-positive (from what I read). The dialogue was easy to read, but the sex scene was too much detail for my taste (it's a devil's threesome). I will not be continuing, but if that is an avenue of literature you like, try this one. :)

After my first failure I was worried it would end up being one of those terrible post "the game" businesses. Happily I was wrong about that, but this book was one of the hottest messes I've ever read. Potential spoilers ahead (not safe for everyone)  First of all the writing felt disjointed. It's possible that's because there were two authors. It was off to a rocky start with the ode to Parker's hard on while Lynn was still with Phil. It's fine that he found her attractive but we didn't need paragraphs about what that did for his erection. One of the two biggest weird things about this book was the throwaway threesome. Apparently these guys regularly have threesomes with each other which never results in awkwardness, which seems highly unrealistic. And for the most part they never again talk about the fact that they had a threesome that included the woman their friend is now seriously involved with. Lynn goes from meek to talking like a porn star so fast out makes your head spin. In general a lot of the language, especially in sex scenes, felt inauthentic. There was so much "bro"and "babe" I felt like I was in a frat house. There's no development. The entire relationship happens in either montage or totally off screen. The plot goes nowhere then all of a sudden makes this insane turn into crazy town wherein her ex literally kidnaps her expecting her to play nice at a work weekend so he can get a promotion. And even though he'd been trying to half assedly win her back for weeks now he only dated her in the first place to impress this boss that she had never even met...what?! It just got more and more insane till it reached comical proportions. Then bing bang boom wrapped up in a nice pretty bow and I was left wondering what the fuck I just read. That being said there were some actually funny parts. I really liked the premise of the book and there was something about the writing that had potential, I'm just bummed it didn't live up to its potential. With a collaboration it's always a toss up. I'm not sure if it was one author I liked and the other didn't work for me or both were fine but the teamwork wasn't there. I'd probably try others by either author but wouldn't read the sequel. Though I'm curious as to what happened to pepper.

There are many things to like about this book: 1. The concept of tough military veterans helping clueless men with dates is a bit of a funny concept. A bit cheesy but not over the top. 2. The banter between the three guys, as well as Lynn and her friend Suz, was witty and kept the story going. 3. The chemistry between Lynn and Parker was HOT. 4. Overall it was a fast, semi-smutty read. So why a 3 star and not higher? (view spoiler)[ The Threesome. Instead this threesome just seemed like it was thrown in there to up the hot factor. When the hero is already having feelings towards the heroine throwing his buddy into bed with them is kind of a big no for me instead of hot. So like I said, I don't have a problem with ménage in fiction but not when it is just tossed in there for the hell of it. (hide spoiler)] Will say that although I liked this one I really don't know if I will read the rest of the series. I liked it but not sure I invested enough to continue. We shall see.

Instantly forgettable and utterly inconsequential. Still, a few hours of uncomplicated fun. Popsugar Reading Challenge 2018 #28. A book by two authors.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I have to agree with many other reviewers on this one. There was no warning about this book containing a threesome and I, for one, just don’t like reading about them. It’s a personal preference; I’ve tried reading other books with them and I’m just not a fan. So I’m gonna have to DNF.

Got Me Fired Up! Totally enjoyed this book. The humor and sexy times were expected, but the bit of action was a pleasant surprise. I’ll definitely be reading the next one in the series... especially after that little intro with Pepper. I’m eager to see what that’s all about.
