Nikki Dee Houston's All Fired Up is top notch! I absolutely loved this story.. read it in one sitting and couldn't put it down! Our heros? Firefighters, of course! I also don't believe Sheldon would have condoned the relationship once he became aware of it. From everything that I've seen about the Fire Department the 'romance' elements were very implausible, but let's be honest, it wasn't romance it was sex. Developed into a longer story with more of a lead in before she fell for her boss and this story might have had a chance.

Curious, she stood to move the paper aside only to see a photo of a GORGEOUS man. It was the men’s fireman calendar, and Mr. April was a breathtaking hunk of male! She was caught off guard when some of the men surprised her while captivated by the picture – which would embarrass anyone! The men laughed at her discomfiture and said that the man in the picture would not be happy to be openly ogled. They abruptly stopped when their Captain entered the room from behind her, called them out for their behavior and asked her to take a seat. She turned around only discover that Mr. April himself was Dave Johnson, her new boss! After all the paperwork is done, reassurances given that no nonsense would be tolerated and her gear collected, Cindy headed to her locker ajar and inside a humiliating picture of her in a compromising position and some of the men are openly hostile. As the first woman assigned to the squad, some of the men simply do not want her there. The chemistry between Cindy and Dave is downright combustible (I just couldn’t resist), and he thinks he’s seen her somewhere (guess who’s Miss April in the female firefighter calendar). Will Cindy be able to establish herself as a valuable member of the squad? Just how bad, or how dangerous, will the harassment get? Will Cindy and Dave be able to keep their hands – and other body parts – to themselves (HAH)? Read this one with a cold drink and a fan, folks, because it’s a hot one!

Everyone loves a hot fireman!!! Cindy is a rookie fire fighter starting her career at the Hillwood Fire Station. Cindy has to prove herself in a male-dominated career, and she does. Her time at the station starts out on shaky ground when a mistake from her past comes back to haunt her. She earns the respect of her fellow fire fighters, even the one that gave her a hard time in the beginning. I love Cindy. She's tough as nails but still feminine, knows what she wants and goes after it. Overall I really enjoyed this book, but I wanted more. I know it's a novella but it was just too short and the ending felt rushed. I thought the writing was great…..the sex was hot and the fire scenes were intense.

All Fired Up is a very fast and short read. As much as the sexy firemen part is quite enticing, the fast forward of the plot makes it feel unreal. And partly slutty. Dream quality hot scenes make up for the rushed events but not for the lack of any relatonship. And that's a shame. Still, it's an erotic novel with a potential and if developed into much longer one would be quite a nice story.

This novel is hot hot hot. 50 Shades of Grey left me feeling dirty, whilst All Fired Up makes me want to join the Fire Department (and meet a steamy fireman of my own). I read it cover to cover in one night. I can't wait for the next one.

Always at the top of her class at the academy, Cindy is determined to prove her worth to the Firestation and the crew. It appears that she has at least impressed her captain. It doesn't take Dave long to get Cindy alone in his office and she makes it perfectly clear that she is not opposed to the subtle moves he puts on her. In no time at all the sparks between them erupt and they are all over each other. But the work relationship requires them to be cautious and the volume of calls they have to respond to has kept both of them busy. When a mistake from the past won't go away and a dangerous fire tests both skills and faith, it seems the deck might just be stacked against them..... **** A whole lot of story packed into a short book. Cindy is a kickass woman, who has made her way through the academy top of her class and is able to take care of herself. She seems a little impulsive, to say the least, evident from actions both in her history described and within days of her arrival at her new job, tending to think about potential consequences AFTER the fact. But, she takes everything on the chin and doesn't shy away for or from anything. I couldn't really get a grip on Dave, he too seemed a tad impulsive, especially someone in his position, which messes with the credibility a little, because in every other aspect of his job he seems to be as professional as can be. We don't learn a whole lot about Dave.....or Cindy for that matter, which makes it a bit hard to place him. But I guess with the body of a Demi-god.......who needs a personality?? (Oops, did I just say that out loud??) The storyline had all kinds of promise and would have made a fantastic full sized novel. Lots of material to work with and directions to take it in. As a short story it felt a bit two-dimensional and without a tremendous amount of depth. Despite its length, it wasn't lacking in sex scenes.....the hot and sweaty kind, in all its detailed glory! ✨A short hot burst of action!✨ **ARC provided in return for an honest review.**

There is great potential but unfortunately the characters’ actions don’t always make sense and the author tried to pack too much into a quick novella. One of my biggest gripes about the book is the action by the heroine herself. Cindy has struggled to be successful in the highly dominated field of firefighting. She is determined to prove her worthiness to her new co-workers at the Hillside Fire Station. So what does she do on the second day, she has hot steamy sex with her captain. I’m sorry, but it wasn’t realistic for me. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for a female firefighter and a sexual relationship with your boss would just undermine everything you have worked for. Their relationship continues even with the second in command’s knowledge. In fact he encourages it. Again, this doesn’t seem plausible which pulled me from the story. And while I could believe instant lust and sexual attraction between Cindy and Dave, their love developed awfully fast, even by romance novel standards. Except for her poor decision to sleep with her boss, I liked the character of Cindy. She was a take charge, confident woman who could hold her own in a man’s world without losing her femininity. Dave is a hot and sexy firefighter who knows how to make a woman feel good. The sex scenes are steamy and create their own type of fire. Ms. Houston also threw in a bit of drama in the form of a stalker. This story line was more believable than the romance story, however, because All Fired Up is a novella, it was too quickly resolved. The writing flowed nicely and smoothly which made the book easy to read. Unfortunately, the story needed more than a novella to elevate it.

*sigh* Let me start out by saying this... this book REALLY had potential... a LOT of potential. I couldn't put it down, and I couldn't wait to read what happened next. The further in I got, though, the more I was swooning and wanting to be in that fire station or in Cindy's shoes. I loved the characters, and especially loved the way that the Cindy was a badass bitch, but still humble and willing to prove herself worthy... yet still attracted the attention of a major hottie, who really should've *sigh* Let me start out by saying this... this book REALLY had potential... a LOT of potential. The writing is well done, and flows well. I didn't notice many errors, which is of course something I tend to notice. I was so close to loving this book, but then... The ending... UGH! THE ENDING! I know this was a Novella, but still. I am glad I didn't have my Kindle yet, because my phone which I was reading it on ended up thrown at 3 in the morning when I was done and I'm pretty sure I pissed the dog off with the string of WTFs that flowed out of my mouth when I was at the last page. I was angry. I was pissed. I was livid. I was [insert your word of choice to describe "really fucking irritated"]. I decided to leave it be and see if maybe, just MAYBE my book wasn't a complete copy, but when I checked the next day, sure enough, that was it. o.O I feel as though this book would have done MUCH better as a full-length novel, instead of rushing through, then falling flat. I'd be ecstatic to see it become the start of a much longer, much more in depth story!

I really enjoyed this book. Why? Because it did exactly as the title says; it got me All Fired Up! Before I started reading, I was wondering how in the heck was the author going to get delicious erotica written in a novella? That’s hardly enough time to start a proper fire right? Wrong! I was pleasantly surprised with this juicy, little treat. In just a short time, the author gives you likable, strong characters, a hot story, and leaves you wanting more. Since the author creates great chemistry I really enjoyed this book. Why? Because it did exactly as the title says; it got me All Fired Up! The sex scenes in this book will have you fanning yourself, and more than likely, re-reading those scenes. Or maybe that was just me... :) Pure hotness! My personal fave: the shower scene – NICE! I enjoyed the writing style of this author. Easy to follow along and understand, moved along at a nice pace, never a dull moment, and keeps you interested from beginning to end. I look forward to reading more from this author! Great job Ms. Houston! I would definitely recommend this hot novella to other readers. If you need a quick, steamy fix about yummy firemen, read All Fired Up!

She never gave up and even though everyone was skeptical about her at first they soon learned to respect her, which was great. I loved her instant reaction to Dave. Any woman would have that reaction. Dave, well let me say he gives other male leads a run for their money. I loved him. He is strong, handsome, and the power he holds just rolls off of him. You can’t help but love everything he gives. He could so be my captain. I loved that even though he was tough; he had a gentle side when it came to Cindy. He still treated her like the other Fire Fighters, but he also had feelings for her that he let her know he had. Their first encounter together is a scene that I’ll never forget. You definitely need to check out this book, it’s amazing. It is a short story, but gets to the point and makes you want to read more Fire Fighter books. I really enjoyed the whole story and loved the ending.

Nikki Dee does a great job in creating strong characters and a terrific story in a novella that will hook you from start to finish.

4 SIZZLING HOT STARS!! This was a quick light read with an enjoyable cast. Dave is a hot fireman-who doesn't love a man in uniform?! Cindy is a strong tough woman. When the two meet up there are fireworks! I wish there was a little bit more to the story and I felt the relationship between them happened pretty fast. But there were enough twists and turns to keep me intrigued. I would recommend this to anyone who loves firefighters and is wanting a quick easy read. ~ Leslie

First female fire fighter at the station and she sleeps with the boss the 2nd day? I did not like Cindy at all. And the writing seemed a bit simple. Not for me, this one.
