    Reminded me of the Eleven Madison cookbook. Same people, same type of setup. Stories about the people who work, a bit about the design of the restaurant and a lot about their approach. The main difference is that these recipes are more approachable and doable for the home cook. This is another cookbook that encourages you to ignore their recipes and ingredients. Beautiful shots of food. There are no aha moments for me here. Enjoyable read.

    Loved every minute of this wonderful cookbook! Wonderful recipes and the stories about them that make them enticing. We meet the crew of GT, learn what they've added to the, tapestry of the, place and the food. We are also introduced to new ingredients and new ways to cook with familiar kitchen staples.

    Strawberry pie was a winner! Bacon cheddar biscuits fell short of my dreams. It's a beautiful book, great pictures and text. The recipes are solidly written and accompanied by terrific photos. Book works in the kitchen and on the coffee table.

    This cookbook really didn't do a whole lot for me. I felt that most would be difficult to make for an unprofessional chef to prepare. I must admit that the desserts were rockin' and I would def. be preparing those.
